InstaBOAT, the incredible folding tinny, will greatly improve access to wetlands for duck shooters and hunters this season. Tucked into the bank and draped in camouflage netting, the stability that allows you to shoot with confidence from the water will impress. Making for easy access to your maimai or hunting site, the InstaBOAT even has plenty of room for the dog and gear.
In Canada, where the InstaBOAT is manufactured and has been in use for over 30 years, hunters use these unique folding aluminium boats to access remote areas and bring home all sorts of wildfowl and game, from duck to deer. Made with a combination of aluminium and durable polymer joints, the flat-bottomed InstaBOAT is considered virtually indestructible and definitely unsinkable, even when filled with water.
Being light enough for one person to carry, they are easily transported on the roof of a vehicle or even strapped to a quad-bike or helicopter. And when you get to the water’s edge, the InstaBOAT transforms from the bag to a boat in less than 3 minutes – no tools required.
InstaBOAT is available in two models, the Scout and the slightly larger Fisherman. Both models fold up to a very neat, 16cm wide package*, while they weigh in at only 30 and 38 kilograms respectively. Either is ideally suited to two-man fishing or hunting with the Scout able to carry up to 204kg of weight and the slightly larger Fisherman up to 245kg.
These boats will take a small motor – 2hp on the Scout and up to 5hp on the Fisherman, and every InstaBOAT comes with oars, rowlocks and a carry bag as part of the standard package.
